Objectives of Storehouse 39-3-10

1.    Improved responsiveness and services - One client application form will be used to generate appropriate service(s) from one or more of the agencies, which will reduce client frustration. Shared resources among participating agencies in the delivery of services to homeless and those living in poverty will enhance response time and breadth of services provided. This collaborative approach will achieve results that no one agency can accomplish alone.

2.    Maximized facility use – A primary objective is to provide warehouse, office and common spaces that otherwise would not be affordable on a single agency basis. Shared capital and operational expenses such as shared use of some of the delivery trucks, photo copiers, vehicle fleet insurance, building insurance, security, building management, etc.

3.    Enhanced client services through capacity building – The Storehouse-39-3-10 agencies will be able to expand their collective program capacity by achieving greater efficiencies in their overall operation.  The agencies will share professional support services such as auditors, IT support, fund development support, volunteer coordinators, Helpline intake staff, reception services and other positions.  As well, Junior Non-Profits that are tenants in the building will be mentored in order that they may work in a more synergistic way to meet common community needs through enhanced programs and services.
