Storehouse Collaborative Programs |
|
Storehouse 39-3-10 provides innovative, unique programs in a collaborative setting. Working with three founding agencies, Storehouse is working together to combat poverty through the following programs.
ICU2 (Infants & Children Under Two)
In Calgary 15% of children live in poverty, and over 30% of single parents are living below the Low Income Cutoff Level (LICO). It is essential that children under the age of two are provided with the basic supplies needed for their physical and emotional development. The Storehouse ICU2 collaborative program provides supplementary baby supplies and food to at-risk, low-income babies and their families at no cost. Dedicated volunteers deliver to client homes a week’s supply of formula, diapers, jars of food, and other baby items (e.g. cribs, strollers, etc.).
HELPLINE
The Storehouse collaborative Helpline provides callers with links to services offered from all three founding agencies. Calls are received in the central Call Centre and the client is able to access more wrap around services by only telling their story once. The Helpline now receives more than 500 calls per month.
